Macrofungi, AKA higher fungi

Defined as any fungus that's big enough to be seen with the naked eye. This includes fungi that have visible [mushrooms, and those that have visible above-ground (epigeous) fruiting bodies (sporocarps). Lichens are sometimes included, depending on definition.

Above-ground (epigeous) mushrooms

There's a ton of mushroom foraging material out there, so I'll leave that to them.

Above-ground fruiting bodies (sporocarps) that aren't considered mushrooms.

• Rust, where they're often visible on infected leaves, petioles, tender shoots, stem, fruits, etc.
• Xylaria
• TODO: Epigeous sporocarps that don't have an agaricoid morphology. [TODO: look more here]   (so, cleistothecium, perithecium, gymnothecium, perithecium?)

Above-ground non-fruiting-bodies

• Conidiomata, which reproduce asexually, which means they aren't sporocarps (which always reproduce sexually).
• Smut teliospores
• Sclerotium
• Fungal fossils (may or may not count as mushrooms)

Below ground (hypogeous)

• Mycelial cords
• Truffles
• False truffles, AKA hypogeous ('underground') basidiocarps ('sporocarps of Basidiomycota'').
