Combining 1) aluminium powder with 2) iron rust gives you <a href="http://how2dostuff.blogspot.com/2006/01/how-to-make-thermite.html">thermite</a>.  Ignite using a sparkler, or a strip of magnesium.

<p>There are <a href="http://www.pyroguide.com/index.php?title=Thermite#Ignition">many other formulations</a> of thermite, but this one seems to be the easiest.
