My take on the nature-versus-nurture thing:

Like many people, I think the answer is "it's complicated". For most things, it's a combination of both.

However, I do think that news-consumers tend to lean too heavily on the nature side, assumpting that gender differences are caused by biological differences, rather than just correlated with them.
