Tools that I have found to be particularly useful for me:
guilt vs shame
Shame is "I am bad." Guilt is "I did something bad."
pay attention to the present,
choose an object, and describe it with your five senses: feel, sight, sound, smell, and taste
lemon, Altoids, jalapeños
pick up an object and describe how it was manufactured
list things in a category, starting with A, B, C, ...
ride the wave
"this too shall pass"
