If you get a monthly charge on your credit card that says "INTELIUS SUBSCRIPTION 877-974-1563" for $19.95, then you've accidentally signed up for their scam called "Identity Protect". There's three things you need to do:
- Go to https://www.intelius.com/account-iservices.php?WidgetID=87&ServiceGroupID=6&Fctn=6, and click on "suspend my service". For some reason, I wasn't able to cancel my "subscription" on any browser without first disabling Javascript.
- Call your credit card company and dispute the charges. If Intelius gets enough chargebacks, they won't be able to continue processing credit cards.
- If you MUST continue using Intelius's services, make absolutely sure you never choose the options below.
