vCards have been shareable via NFC for a while, from phone-to-phone.
Recently though, some companies have been embedding these NFC chips into business cards. This way, all the recipient has to do is tap the business card to their phone, instead of manually entering the contact info.
There are commercial intermediaries that provide some services for these, but they often cost a lot of money, and I'm not sure they're needed at all:
