Things that 'feh' does, that I *really* like:

    - it can be told to display ALL images within a subdirectory, and:

        - it will search recursively in all subdirectories

        - it starts up instantly...   rather than waiting to scan all images before displaying the
          first one, it does both in parallel

    - it has two viewing modes, that are easy to switch between:  1) view images sequentially
      (space, backspace) and 2) jump to a random location ('Z')




Features I don't like:

    - it doesn't support animated GIFs
