Ways to run OS/X as a guest in a VM:

VMWare
- VMWare introduced support in August 2011 for ESXi 5
- normally, it supports running OS/X as a guest ONLY when the host is running OS/X — and there are technical measures in place to enforce this
- however, there are various "unlockers" that allow OS/X guests to run on Windows, Linux, etc [1]
VirtualBox
- again, normally, this is only allowed on Mac hardware — and there are technical measures in place to enforce this
- again, there are third-party workarounds to remove this restriction [1] [2]
