Procedure for upmoding my own stories or comments:

1. run the proxy_checker at http://paperlined.org/src/pl/reddit/anon_proxy/

2. navigate to "http://redit.com" in the current tab

3. in Firefox, go to Tools > Options > Privacy > Show Cookies

    3b. search = reddit.com

    3c. remove ALL "reddit.com" cookies, ESPECIALLY:
        - "reddit_session", which logs the current user out without hitting the server
        - all user-specific cookies named "reddit options"

4. use SwitchProxy to load the http://paperlined.org/src/pl/reddit/anon_proxy/success.txt...
        press "apply" every 15 seconds, until you get a decent working proxy

5. log in with a sock-puppet

6. take as long of a route as possible to get to the story or post that needs to be modded up

    - to find your story/comment:
        - don't go directly
        - possibly search
        - but even better to brose "upcoming" stories

    - also, best to read the story first (since they have the "have they read the story yet" detector)

    - also, better to mod other stories up first

7. once you're done modding up your target, repeat the cookie-clearing procedure

8. only after cookies are cleared, make SwitchProxy go back to no-proxy mode
