• XenSource is a commercial entity dedicated to improving the Xen open-source project (and has money to spend on the project)
• Corporate cooperation:
  • AMD will be working with Xensource to get their virtualization hardware (available 2006) working with Xen
  • Intel will be working with Xensource to get their virtualization hardware (available 2005) working with Xen
  • IBM will be integrating some of their virtualization features into Xen
• Xen does not currently support running Windows inside of it, however, once hardware support is available, Xen WILL be able to run Windows inside
• However, Xen may not run within Windows in the foreseeable future
