To install multiple versions of Python, use:

• venv AKA virtualenv (wiki.archlinux.org)
  • various ways to bootstrap virtualenv
• asdf, which has a python-specific plugin
  • bootstrap python using asdf. For me, this worked well:
    • git clone https://github.com/asdf-vm/asdf.git ~/.asdf --branch v0.10.0
    • add this to your ~/.bashrc — . $HOME/.asdf/asdf.sh
    • asdf plugin-add python
    • asdf install python latest
• pyenv
• pythonz
• pythonbrew — no longer maintained
• pipenv — like pip and virtualenv combined
• ? poetry
