thickening solutions

These are bottles containing the pre-made ratios of certain thickening solutions, intended to be used quickly and easily, similar to the condiment bottles with water and oil that many cooks use.

blending method refrigerate? ratio bottle
tapioca starch + water the bottle should be at most ⅓rd full Yes, it's a starch. Alternatively, use 20% ethanol that acts as a preservative. Plastic bottle with screw lid, ~200 mL
potato starch + water same same same same
xanthan gum + vegetable oil Plastic kinetic ammunition? No? Xanthan gum is a carbohydrate, but there's no moisture present. A tiny bit of xanthan gum, lots of oil. Plastic bottle, with condiment-bottle top for precise measuring.
You want to use VERY little of this stuff, it's very potent. You don't have to get it hot to activate the thickening, it's activated right away. The thickness doesn't vary with temperature, unlike almost every other thickener.

Xanthan gum is most soluble in oil, but it's also somewhat soluble in cold water and brine.

Consider adding glycerin to make it easier to incorporate with the food. Maybe add 20% ethanol too, to act as a preservative and an emulsifier. Tips on mixing it effectively — [1] [2] [3] [4]
perfected guar gum
No slurry is needed! Hand-mixable! Awesome.
