jaccard

A jaccard is a more modern version of a meat tenderizer.

Food safety — It's true that tenderized meat has a slightly higher risk of pathogens. [1] [2] [3] There's many articles out there about food producers selling meat that's labelled "blade tenderized", and I believe all of those articles apply to at-home jaccard tenderizing as well.

Cleaning — Are most of these dishwasher-safe? I don't know that we want to be regularly washing it by hand, but at the same time, the presence of meat means it has to be cleaned well. TODO

"These things are basically uncleanable without a dishwasher"

Physical safety — How likely is it that you accidentally hurt yourself, especially during the cleaning process?
