TODO list:

1. AVOID ANYTHING LIKE ASSAULT/BATTERY/anything else illegal. The only way she can really "win" this (note: this is still not a zero-sum game) is if she can goad me into hitting her or breaking something of hers, which would allow her to call the police ASAP.
2. One of the few minor ways she can "win" is by letting me "rot in my illness and die alone". In other words, let my internet addiction consume me. I need another roommate ASAP, because for some reason, just having someone moving around in the house "pulls me out of myself", and makes me self-conscious enough that I stop using the computer.
3. Do everything I can to do right by her. I will eventually judge my actions here according to my future standards, not by my current ones. I must do what I can to reduce future guilt by trying to do the right thing, and not be petty or vindictive. (especially difficult because it seems likely that she'll be petty and vindictive... however, if she does this, that does NOT give me permission to react in kind. She feels helpless and so the only thing she can do is lash out, but I have no such excuse)
   3b. DO NOT PLAY GAMES. It's hard enough to figure out what the proper ethical thing to do is when you're in the middle of a hurricane. It's harder still when you're adding to the chaos yourself by playing mindgames.
4. Bekki has said she'd call ComEd and Peoples Gas and have those turned off. TODO: I need to call them up and find out if, after I transfer them to myself, if she'd still be able to have them shut off. If there's no way to pre-empt her shut-off, then I need to check every day and see if they're still active or not.
   4b. on the other hand, I really want to delay the transfer from her to me, since once things are switched over, she can run the heat / electricity a lot, just to be vindictive
