smart watches — They're much more expensive than other options, and I want to avoid most of the "smart" features anyway (e.g. notifications, voice assistant, most things having to do with the phone)
digital watches — The face is usually way too cluttered, though there are a few that don't look hideous.
phosphorescent lume — This fades over time in the dark, and lasts somewhere between 30 mins and 8 hrs, depending on that manufacturer's coating.
Seiko brands some of its watches "LumiBrite" for having a particularly strong coating, though these watches range from $125 - 500
tritium lume — expensive, pushing the cost of a watch to $100 minimum
combination analog+digital watches — They're usually even more cluttered than even digital watches.
