Rules that are different for aluminium vs. steel/iron:
Do
not
use a stone wheel to grind aluminium
. This is a serious safety issue. It will clog the wheel, causing heat buildup, which risks causing the wheel to fracture/explode. There are
various ways to grind aluminum
: I like using flap discs and a belt sander.
