This document describes how to splice two pieces of rope together, when one piece of rope is significantly smaller than the other.

In particular, when splicing fishing line into clothesline-thickness rope.

The approach is to treat the smaller line as one of the individual strands / threads that is part of the thicker rope, and sew/weave the skinier line it into the thicker rope.

With fishing line, a large sewing needle works well.
