My 2004 Acura TSX's engine temperature gets kind of high on really hot days.

Hot weather is the most common cause of cars overheating, along with a low coolant level, failing water pump, broken thermostat, or cooling system leak. All of these factors are aggravated by hot weather when your car’s air conditioning is running more often.

So these are maintenance checks you can do:

• Low coolant level.
• Failing water pump.
• Broken thermostat.
• Cooling system leak.

And then these are upgrades that you could do:

• Remote start.
• Install window tint, or infrared window glazing.
• Paint with solar reflective paint.
• Install seat ventilation, or a ventilated seat cover
