#### things I still need to incorporate:
- my "two practical knots" spiel -- 1) recycling grocery bags, and 2) how to tie up cables

- huge diversty
    - show the range of ropes avilable:  fishing line, UMHW/kevlar, webbing, large marine mooring line[1], wire rope
    - shaw the range of ways it's used:  netmaking, surgical sutures, lifting/rigging [2], 
- care of rope
    - ends:     natural should be whipped or taped, synthetic should be melted
    - preventing wear:  prevent dirt and grit from working inside the rope
