bookmarked purchase — a knife with a ceramic utility blade, to use for cooking

I already have one of these knives, it's excellent. But I often use it for non-food uses, and don't clean it afterwards.

I could purchase a second one of these, and reserve it for food only.

• the knife — One of: an OKNIFE U1, an OKNIFE U1 Pro, or an OKNIFE U1 Ultra. I feel like the 'Ultra' version has a little more sanitary scale material.
  • The material used for the scales on each are: OKnife U1 (Micarta or G-10), OKnife U1 Pro (Micarta, G-10, or G-10 with carbon fiber overlay), and OKnife U1 Ultra (aluminium or titanium).
  • Do note that both Micarta and G-10 are food-safe: "While both materials are FDA-approved for food contact, G10's non-porous surface makes it particularly suitable for high-volume professional kitchens where bacterial resistance is crucial. Micarta's slight porosity means it requires more thorough drying between uses, especially in humid environments."
