For teaching purposes, it is common to construct a knot board. I want to make one of my own.

Also, I almost want to put some on the inside of my car windows. (yes, I know, this is another of those "crazy Dee ideas")

Protip: Use electrical wire of different colors!

If you want to make mobile glass-based knot boards, you can construct them in the bottom of a Pyrex baking dish. This would be much sturdier than carrying a pane of glass around.
