According to David Walton:

• Width
• Height — It should come up exactly to your knee.
• Thickness of the top — 2.5 - 3"
• Weight — Heavier is better.
  • Could I slide some lead ingots onto the underside? Or perhaps place sandbags atop a cross-piece that connects each pair of end-legs?
• Leg tenons — Conical vs round.
