I have a B.S. in Computer Science, and several years experience as a software engineer.
Nonetheless, if I were to change professions, these are things I might consider:


- Journalist...  I'm a political news junkie, I think journalism is a critical institution in
      democracies, and I greatly respect prominent journalists (much more than I respect prominent
      politicians).  I also like history generally, though there seems to be a lot more work and
      respect for journalists than there is for historians, and "Journalism is the first draft of history".

        (contraindications: I don't necessarily write very well, and there are thousands of bloggers out
        there who seem to have more experience at journalism but who still aren't making money)
