Many of my friends are activists that advance somewhat radical anti-oppression causes. I have a great deal in common with them.

One area that I'm torn, however, is that I find myself often defending capitalism during these discussions. While I agree that capitalism has large problems that need to be fixed, I believe the solution is one of evolution rather than revolution.

  • hidden welfare and corporate welfare
• broader less-defined things
  • crony capitalism
  • plutocracy

things I think are irreconcilable problems with socialism

• central planning
