- The presidential advance manual, uncovered during a trial, after Jeff and Nicole Rank were arrested at a July 4th presidential appearance for wearing t-shirts protesting Bush. The presidential advance manual advocates use of free speech zones, and other tactics to not only prevent cameras from ever noticing the protesters, but for shielding the president himself from protesters as well.
- Scott Bloch was investigated by the FBI for grossly twisting the Office of Special Council: 1) it's supposed to support and provide council for federal whistleblowers. Under Bloch, it never once did so. 2) It's supposed to enforce the Hatch act (prohibiting federal offices from being politicized). Quite the opposite, Block used his position to violate the Hatch act within the very office that's supposed to enforce it.
