Glaring problems with biblical literalism

Some of the more obvious problems:

There are three different Ten Commandments — Exodus 20:2-17 and Deuteronomy 5:6-21 are pretty similar, while Exodus 34:11-26 is very different.
There are two Genesis creation stories, with some differences between them — Genesis 1:1–2:3 and Genesis 2:4-25. [2]
The Bible endorses slavery, both in the Old Testament and the New Testament. Biblical literalists necessarily must vote to make slavery legal again.
Genesis 2:17 says that if Adam or Eve eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, they would die. The Hebrew words used are translated to "you will die on the day you eat of it". That didn't end up happening — they ate from it and clearly didn't die on that day.

Scholar Dan McClellan even goes so far as to say that there is no such thing as a biblical literalist.
