- the mounting hardware is a handrail bracket. The "U bracket" forms a pivot of sorts, which allows each walk to be installed level or sloped.
- Handrails are inherently designed to be sloped at a variety of angles
- the wood is routered to round the side edges quite a bit
- the FAQ recommends sloping at no greater angle than 30°
- the FAQ says their walks are rated at 50lbs+ (further, that this rating is accomplished without anchoring into studs)
- width
- the "R" and "S" models are 6.5" wide (i.e. a 2x6, maybe, though that's only 5.5" sans carpet)
- the "T" model is 4" wide (i.e. a 2x4 — 3.5", with carpet), but this model is offset from the wall by 1", giving it an "effective" width of 5"
- the "corner balcony" has "easily replaceable carpet", i.e. it's not secured down
