I was talking to another transfeminine person, and ze agreed with me — even though I find masculine people attractive sometimes, one of the things I like least is when they're hairy. Hairiness is a definitive masculine feature, but I'm actually attracted to most other defining features, so it's not the definitive-masculineness that turns me off.

Ze suggests it's an outward projection of our inner gender dysphoria, of obsession with hair-removal on our own bodies.

I find this very interesting, since it's essentially the mirror-image of internalized transphobia. Internalized transphobia is when other people's pervasive dislike of ourselves gets projected inwards, and gets unintentionally fused with our own self-image.
