Information for allies, to 1) increase understanding, and 2) encourage them to step up.
As they said at Chicago TDOR 2010, "Allies must realize that trans people have been facing harassment, silently, and alone, for a long time. Support from others is SOOOOO badly needed, and appreciated far more than you realize."
