priorities (just the high-level... see sections below for low-level)
- the new website launched — get the WCIU spot posted on the front page
- alley sign — use a tape measure to find out how big the sign can be
- get SLAX to PXE boot — next step: get it working on a minimal Debian install
alley sign (indoor)
- next step: next time I'm at FreeGeek, measure how big the sign can be
- next step: next time I'm at FreeGeek, figure out how I'd mount the thing.... is it just drywall + studs that I can anchor to?
- next step: do a drawing of what I'm thinking of, and get it reviewed by others (I don't want to start spending money+time on this without getting other people's input)
- next step: see if I can get funding approval for it
- next step: borrow Taylor's van, and pick up the wood for this
Xubuntu network installer
- test to make sure our 'preseed' settings are working
- it IS downloading properly — after booting, see /var/lib/preseed/log
- also see /var/log/syslog
PXE infrastructure
PXE server
- things to make bootable:
- SLAX
- something that will do a network speed test, so we can verify that every location actually gets the throughput we think it does
- UBCD v5.0 beta — all of the SYSLINUX-based items work fine, but we still have to get all of the ubcd/dosapps/ (they all use ubcd/images/fdubcd.igz) working
