Dee's principles regarding wasted space
Generally: if an item has sat on the shelf for the last 6 months — or is likely to sit on the shelf for the next 6 monthes — then DO SOMETHING to fix it.
Specifically:
- TABLES SHOULD NOT BE SHELVES
- WHENEVER WE CAN'T LOCATE SOMETHING, IT IS DOUBLY WASTEFUL: 1) the space it's taking up is completely wasted, and 2) whatever value the item itself has to us, is completely wasted.
- If it doesn't have a pricetag, it doesn't belong in the store — it's not going to move.
