- Create a sie/hir handout printout (or, in a pinch, just use MIT's) that briefly explains:
- There's only two words to remember! Though it might seem hard to learn, it's easier than you think.
- Some example sentences (some good ones are here or here, but if I can think of some comical sentences, that might be good too?)
- An explanation of what "markedness" means in linguistics (it's akin to "queer"), and why I think that means it shouldn't be used as a generic way to refer to cisgendered people, but RATHER should be used specifically as a way to very publicly note that someone feels queer (particularly genderqueer).
- A list of alternatives to sie/hir. (I personally think sie/hir are the best choice, but it's good to note that it is by no means the only accepted option among the community)
- We REALLY SHOULD register the domain name "GenderQueerChicago.com". It doesn't seem to be taken. I can pay for it, but does someone else want to "own" it? Otherwise I can do it, no problem.
- The calendar on the right is awesome. Unfortunately, it gets all squished up. What's the best way to fix this?
- From what I can tell, this is the relevant Calendar HTML, and it's generated by a "widget".
- This is the "edit me" widget link that's semi-hidden. But you have to be logged in to make it work.
