Tweaks I prefer to make to my about:config in Firefox/Mozilla:

toolkit.networkmanager.disable = true (only necessary when Firefox starts up in Offline mode EVERY SINGLE TIME)
ui.key.generalAccessKey = 18 (to match ui.key.menuAccessKey, to make the accesskey/menukey the way it used to be even if it creates conflicts sometimes) [bug#128452]
browser.tabs.closeButtons = 3 (to set tab "X" close buttons to the former behavior)
browser.tabs.tabMinWidth = 30 (try to allow more tabs onscreen at once, per Firefox 1.x behavior)
browser.link.open_newwindow.restriction = 0 (make it so that pop-up windows appear as a new tab, rather than a new window)
browser.urlbar.maxRichResults = 1 [fast] or 0 [disabled] (make the URL bar much faster)

do the local .SVG workaround so I can view files stored on the local disk, using Mozilla's built-in renderer
change general.useragent.security to "Interiot", so I can find myself in access logs
