- jo.sys — asks you if you want to boot from the CD or not
- io.sys — only issue is that on older versions of MS-DOS, io.sys and msdos.sys had to be the very first directory entries

- on startup, you can press: (as long as "BootKeys=0" isn't in msdos.sys)
- F5 — bypass EVERYTHING in config.sys and autoexec.bat
- F8 — step line-by-line through config.sys and autoexec.bat, and choose what to skip
