install these:
- Instant Client
- SQL Developer
- any other free stuff I'd want to use
- any other third-party free stuff I'd want to use (or possibly even shareware)
- any other SQL*Plus replacements
read up more on these:
- autotrace on = gooood
- Can one run commands when SQL*Plus starts up? (yes: the login.sql file)
