- DVD Decrypter is a decent way to get files off a DVD
- playing back .vob files from the hard drive: [1]
- WinDVD: to play the mass of .vob files under the /video_ts/ directory:
- subst the folder to a new drive, so /video_ts/ is in the root directory
- start WinDVD
- in options, tell it to use the subst'd drive as the default drive
- close WinDVD and start it back up
- voila, it should work
- Windows Media Player:
- apparently just load up a .VOB, and it'll play everything 100% correctly
- GOM Player, "run" the .ifo file (either by double-clicking on it, or opening it inside GOM)
