I'm interested in artistic pieces that appeal to the hardcore geek. Why?:

A lot of people presume that art and geekdom can't intermix, so it's an unexplored niche.
It's a femme take on geekdom

Things I'm considering:

a wooden pallet as a rustic backdrop
- this has been done a fair bit, but not in terribly geeky ways
- add several large-scale-feature PCBs, with a patina finish [2]
- backlight the pallet, to add depth
