Multi-layer stencil images are similar to other forms of print-making, particularly woodcuts and gelatin printmaking. It's also similar to layered papercutting.

- (generally) create a gradient to add "interest and dimension" (ugh!)
- stippling paintbrush
- airbrush
- other street artist techniques
- although I like the non-duplicated stencils, there are a few stencils that just beg to be duplicated
