hold delivery for local pickup

  1. Wait until the first delivery is attempted. The driver may (at their discretion) require a signature. In that case, if they can't get a signature, then they'll leave an InfoNotice number. (note: the InfoNotice number is different from the Tracking Number)
  2. Once you get your first InfoNotice number, you can go to the UPS website, enter the InfoNotice number, and a new option will pop up: Choose Another Delivery Option
  3. Click on that. Four options appear, you want the "Will Call: Hold the package for pickup at a nearby location" option.
  4. Alternatively, rather then using the website, you can call 1-800-811-1652 and do the same thing there.

The nearest pickup to me is 1500 S Jefferson St, which is just south of the loop, and just next to the huge Amtrak/Metra train yard.

The Jefferson St hub has customer service hours Mon-Fri 8:00am-6:00pm; Sat-Sun: closed.
