- U3 — presents two devices, a "read-only" CD-ROM device, and the expected USB flash drive
  - the CD-ROM drive makes Windows do autorun on the USB drive (Windows won't normally autorun without some amount of effort).
  - it may be possible that it allows many BIOSes to boot from the USB drive?
