- come up with a workable backup system. Features specific to this should include:
- the (at least optional) ability to only sync over files that have appeared to change, to counter the fact that flash memory + USB2.0 is slow
(since doing a full MD5 would be no faster over flash, instead we'll unfortunately
have to rely upon inode metadata -- filesize, modtime, etc)
- be able to sync to several different computers (eg. several "master copies"), since mobile
datastores are unique in that they make it easy to create geographically-separated copies of backups
(ie. which is the only way to recover from a massive fire / tornado / nuke)
- get bookmarks syncable? This has the potential to totally replace paperlined.org...
- get portable ActivePerl working (in particular, I'd like to be able to have it do the custom
initial network-diagnostics, based on which network it thinks it's on, much like the Xbox Live
detailed checker does)
