Migrating bare-metal OS's to work within VirtualBox.

Windows
- see here
- you can also use VMWare's Converter... this works fine for VirtualBox because VirtualBox can directly use .vmdk files
Sparc Solaris
- Not possible. VirtualBox does x86-on-x86 only. Sparc-on-x86 requires binary translation (ie. emulation). Virtualbox strictly does virtualization, not emulation.
- Emulators which can do Sparc-on-x86 include: QEMU, QuickTransit, and Simics
- Emulation is significantly slower than virtualization.

  - actually, all notes I come across say that it will minimally boot, but you can't get a full system working [1] [2]
