Trying to explore options for viewing the Wii output on a computer monitor.
- the VD-W2 Wii VGA cable looks pretty good, but with an important caveat: IT DOESN'T SUPPORT 480i GAMES.
- The only cheap video capture cards on the computer do S-Video, not component video. However, S-Video will ONLY do 480i, not 480p.
- so, one solution is to get BOTH — one to work for 480p games, and the other to work for 480i games. But at that point, you're talking real money.
