1. mentality/stance: Don't bite the newcomers!
2. hit "what links here", and if any, see if the article contents fit with the context of the original link
3. search to see if it's a typo page (even if vandalism, it should should be changed to be a redirect to the real page)
4. see if it fits any Speedy Deletion criteria (templates)
5. if the article notable, but too corporate in nature, stick {{advert}} on it
6. if the article fits the criteria for deletion, nominate it for AfD (see also Guidelines)
7. if it's a stub, add the appropriate stub tag to it (note: this is very similar to Uncle G's page)
