It would be useful to record some data on an ~hourly basis:

- what periods of time it's up/down, and what periods of time it's particularly slow...  they seem to be having problems lately

- when "night edit" mode is enabled...  this seems to be mostly arbitrary
        (could just use [[Special:Recentchanges]], as long as we have the current list of [[Special:Listusers/edit]])
                    (that's not all there is though, right?  Aschlafly doesn't have "edit" rights...)

- when user creation is enabled and disabled...  this also seems to be very random
        ([[Special:Userlogin]] will have a "Create an account" link when it's enabled)

- the net-bytes-added in each namespace...  I think this is a useful metric of how much "positive" attention they're getting
