For various reasons, FreeGeek is unable to remove spyware from Windows computers. However, since so many customers ask about this, we have some low-cost and/or free suggestions:
The cheapest option is to run some spyware-removal software yourself. However, this can require some technical expertise, and it's possible to mess up your computer even more in a few cases.
Free anti-spyware tools for Windows:
Free live-CDs that do offline spyware cleaning:
- very easy to use (ie. designed for end users)
- CDs that contain several different anti-virus programs
