Is it possible for me to bicycle to PRP? I like to bike in the morning anyway.
- pros
- Obviously, exercise = good.
- It's only 3.27 miles each way
- I could take mostly back routes, across sub-divisions... though to cross the tracks, I have to go on Sunset for 0.5 miles (or, possibly better, go down to 132 where there's a sidewalk, and take that over)
- cons
- I'd probably want to get the Topeak bag system, for a variety of reasons, but most compellingly, to make sure nothing is stolen while the bike is locked up. I'd save $30/month in gas if I didn't drive at all to PRP, so that would *somewhat* offset the $62+$30 cost of the bag.
- Obviously, it's getting colder. The month of October might not be TOO bad, but it might get pretty tough in November.
- Regardless of the binary decision of can bike / can't bike on any given day, I'll probably need to buy a few more warm-weather clothes.
