You don't actually need to fix the problem, because the errors are only in the samples\ directory. All of the stuff in bin\ and lib\ get built properly.

If you want to build everything fully, you have to apply Austin Donnelly's patch

To apply the patch, download patch binary zipfile, and the diffutils dependency zip file
