Atkins-type things to add to tuna salad to make it taste better:
- chopped jalapenoes (VERY good... the combination of cooling mayo and small spicy chunks is great)
- relish
- hard-boiled eggs
- crumbled bacon
- salad dressing (ranch?)
- chopped celery, green pepper, scallions, mushrooms, tomatoes, onion, cucumber, peas, pickles
- salt and pepper
- shredded cheddar (best to have a stronger cheese, the mayo is already pretty cool)
- nuts, I guess... almonds, peanuts, ... ??
- black olives
- broccoli cuts
Other things to make it better:
- bake it
- layer it with slices of cheese
- serve on/with leaves of lettuce
