My personal definition of sobriety is avoiding these behaviors: (more about the three circles)

Non-work-related surfing

I can only do non-work-related surfing during these 15 minute breaks:

"Work-related" is construed narrowly:

During breaks, I still can't do my bottom-line behaviors (surf news, forums, etc). My goal is NOT to say "it's okay if I get drunk, as long as I only get drunk 30 minutes a day". Rather, it's to address a specific problem: There are a huge number of "gray area" websites that can't be neatly classified, but that I nonetheless sometimes (but not often) abuse for escapist purposes. (I have less than 10 bottom-line websites and they're very well-known to me, while there are thousands of gray-area websites, and many are sites that I've never visited before) My feeling is that if I limit the amount of time that I have to surf, I will value my surfing time more, and I will prioritize sites that are actually valuable to me, and deprioritize websites that I've been using to mostly waste time. Again, breaks are for gray-area websites only.

However, the line between "gray area" and "bottom line" websites must NOT be blurred — this is something I need to try hard to be honest with myself about.
